The Table

Progress has been slow, due largely to us using the van instead of building it, our thinking is its to be used, so we are using it as its intended! albeit not fully completed!
The table, although perhaps an insignificant item to many, infact to the home builder its a vital component of the build.  You cant convert the Van from a ""Panel Van to "Motor Caravan" in the DVLA V5 without a table.

The raised floor has been begging for its cushion floor covering for ages, as has the main floor, but a bit at a time as usual.  The fitting for the table leg all fitted into the floor.  The table top is constructed from a sheet of MDF with self adhesive floor tiles stuck onto it and the leg fitting screwed to it.

Many may argue that using MDF is not a good choice, well maybe, maybe not, the use of self adhesive floor tiles?? Well they were cheap and must be hard wearing, we can always change it another time to formica when money allows.

 A nice choice of aluminium edge trim with rubber insert finishes it off very nicely, as does the red LED lights under the edge which come on and off as the side door opens giving a lovely welcome home feel when its dark outside and provides that bit of light to find the main light switch!
