Gas Installation

After a lot of thought and deliberation and reading on the van build groups etc, we opted for an under slung LPG tank.  This has a external mounted filler on the outside of the van which is favourable for use abroad, many people have issues whilst abroad trying to fill internal gas bottles abroad.
After a couple of weekends off working on the van.
Today was set aside for fitting the under floor LPG Gas Tank. We were going to do it last weekend except I had made a slight error in measuring the space under the floor between the chassis members to fit the gas tank in the recommended location, the 30ltr tank was too long to fit in the space, unless we wanted to risk a hot exhaust pipe rubbing against the gas tank! We opted for a change of plane a exchanged the 30ltr tank... for a smaller 25ltr tank which fitted beautifully. Filler inlet and pipe all fitted. The filler pipe runs down in the body behind the relay panel below the door pillar seatbelt fastening bolt, it then runs along the inner cill and pops out in a hole on the underside of the van and extends across to the gas tank.
A good pleasing job. Before anyone points out the filler point is 90 degrees out, it is because the angled bayonet filler fitting needed to have the hose attachment thread pointing downwards to accommodate my pipe route.
Will be leaving some cill grommets out to allow for gas dropout in the event of any leaks later.

The tank was floor mounted using spreader plates above the floor inset into the floor insulation and hidden under the final flooring boards.
